Wycliffe Presbyterian Church 1445 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach VA 23454 Thread Painting on a Panel with Joyce Hughes Doors open at 9 AM. Class begins at 10 AM. Class ends at 4 PM. Joyce Hughes- Poppies with Bluebird Panel Description Learn the basics of Dimension Thread Painting and Embellishment on this beautiful Poppies with Bluebird wall hanging. We will cover the step-by-step process of Dimensional Thread Painting - using zig zag and straight stitching. See the fabric come to life as you sew and layer the threads on top of your design; adding shading, highlighting , texture and definition. You will use Thread as Paint –and sew with different types of threads and color combinations. Cost is $45. There is a required fee of $15 for the panel, payable to Joyce at the beginning of the class. TQG Virginia Quilt Museum ChallengeTQG will be sponsoring the MINI QUILT CHALLENGE Exhibit….Themed: Blues
The Museum is accepting quilts until July 18, 2026, to be on display from July 21 through September 26, 2026. Debi Harding will collect quilts at the July 11 Saturday Chapter meeting and July 13, Day & Night Chapter meetings for the display, so that we can deliver them to the Museum.
