Note from Ronnie Harriman, Winner of the 2014 Raffle Quilt 11/16/2014
Dear Tidewater Quilters,
I want to thank you for this beautiful quilt I won. It means so much to me because Elsie’s fabrics were used in it. I know a lot of work and effort went into making it. I can remember when she went to a fabric store how excited she got over a new piece of fabric. When she was working on a new quilt, I would sometimes help her with it. I was a draftsman so I could draw for her. Another quilting job I had was to remove seams when something went wrong. I even had my own seam ripper.
Last few years she was unable to attend meetings due to health problems. But Debi Harding kept her informed as to what was going on. Quilting was one of the best things I had in my life. Elsie and I shared both of our crafts.
Love, Ron
