Tidewater Quilters' Guild meetings are held monthly in convenient locations on the south side. Most meetings include: Business meeting - to conduct TQG activities Program - A planned event that may include a speaker, slide presentation or a mini-workshop on a specific technique. Show & Tell - Members share their completed work, a work in progress or an item from their collection. Block of the Month - The Day and Night Chapters may have patterns or kits available for a different block each month. They are purchased for a small fee while supplies last. The completed blocks are returned at the next meeting. Names are placed in a drawing for the blocks. Techniques are varied as this is an educational opportunity for members. Library - The librarians bring a sampling of books to each meeting. Members may check out books from the library. See the librarian for details. Zoom - Each week there are two drop in Sit and Sew sessions--Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In addition the Modern Bee Group has an informal drop in Sit and Sew on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. And as if that isn't enough, the Modern Bee Group, open to all members, meets on the third Tuesday of each month from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. for education in the Modern realm of Quilting. These education sessions are guided by our members.
