Open to all members, runs from whenever you heard about it to the September meetings, when the drawings will be held. Prize by drawing will be $25, one drawing in each chapter. Your work can be shown at any meeting, but you’ll enter only once, in the chapter of your choosing. When you show, please tell us a bit about the book(s) you chose, and about your inspiration! Size requirement: if a quilt, no smaller than 36” square, or equivalent (1296 square inches). Upper size limit is your choice. If wearable art, it must be a garment, larger than a waistcoat: hats, bags, brooches and so on are accessories. Construction: three layers: top, back and batting of some kind. It may be bound, faced, or bagged. To be entered for the drawing, it must be finished. Inspiration: an item or items found in the TQG library. We have books and DVDs, and you may use more than one of either. Your item may be inspired by a technique, a pattern, an artist’s style – or it may be your rendition of a pattern you found.
