An Update from the Chair, Pat Carney:
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. Now that all the turkey has been eaten, we are focusing on plans for Spring Fling.
We will be offering 12 classes and Sit and Sew. There will be something for everyone: hand sewing, hand quilting, quick machine piecing, AND a MYSTERY! We will have samples to view at the December meetings.
Our Raffle Block is ready to go. You can start purchasing kits for the beautiful quilt blocks at December meetings. The kits will be $3 each or two for $5. You can help by donating quilting books and patterns that will be sold at the event. We are also asking for you to donate strips of fabric (border to border – 42”) that are or can be cut into 2½” strips. We will be raffling Jelly Rolls so that you can save your fat quarters for our quilt show. I was amazed at how may “ends” of yardage I have that are left over from projects. We would love to help you clean up your sewing area. Our committee will not meet in December, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t busy getting things ready to make Spring Fling a great day! We will start signups with the January 2018 Newsletter and at the January guild meetings. Just to tempt you here are a few of your class choices:
