Mark your calendar for October 3-6, 2018. Our guild is going to be an integral part of this show and all of us need to participate. I am very excited about the show. They tell us there will be 600 quilts!
We have been recruiting volunteers and are well on our way to filling the slots. Our September meetings will be the last time we gather to sign up. So if you are unable to attend one of the chapter meetings, please call us!
Set up is the afternoon of the 1st of October and two half-day shifts on the 2nd. This is not as extensive are our show. They will have the hanging system in place and it will be our job to handle the quilts. I understand it is a hook and rod system that makes the job much easier.
We are still in need of more help with those three shifts as well as tear down after the show on the 6th. The more hands, the faster it will go.
Being a hostess does not require white gloves. No one will be touching the quilts. Your job will be to answer questions and to roam your assigned area. It will be much like attending the show just to look at quilts!
Other areas are Volunteer Check-in/Package Check; Lecture Hostesses, Raffle Quilt and Silent Auction. Details of time slots will be on the signup sheets at the chapter meetings.
POC: Betts Werbiskis and Ann Walls
Raffle Quilt: Darlene Price
Silent Auction: Rosemary Roone
