The TQG 2018 Quilt Show Committee is proud to reveal the logo and quilt show pin design!
We had 3 marvelous designs submitted to the committee for possible selection and I am very pleased with our final choice. This will be used to brand all of our publicity and marketing and also for the quilt show pin.
A new email just for the quilt show has been established in order to receive any communication from anyone about the quilt show. The email is: tqg.quiltshow@gmail.com and can be published in our newsletter, on our website and also given out to anyone wanting to communicate with the quilt show committee. Please feel free to share this email with your friends, family, other guilds, etc.
Cindy Hutton has ONLY FIFTEEN kits for the quilt show challenge remaining that can be purchased at the 3 chapter meetings. Once the kits have been sold there will not be any more available for purchase. So, if you haven’t bought your kit yet, be sure to buy them at one of the next chapter meetings.
We are still taking donations at chapter meetings for the quilt show Silent Auction. In particular we have a need for notions & tools, such as thread, sewing needles, buttons, straight pins, thimbles, needle threaders, rotary cutters and replacement blades, marking tools, scissors, machine needles, rulers, etc. The Silent Auction committee contacts are Rosemary Rooney, Lyn McCandlish and Angela Cartwright. They are ready to receive your generous donations!
The tri-fold brochure of the Rules are available for you to pick up at all 3 chapter meetings. You can’t miss them as they are in neon colors. PLEASE pick one up so you can see the changes we made in adding a few more entry categories. Registration forms are also available to you at the chapter meetings. You can also find them on our website www.tqgva.org.
The Quilt Show Committee will not meet in December. The next meeting is on January 2, 2018 at 6:30pm. We meet at the Community United Methodist Church, 1072 Old Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464 (where Night Chapter meets) in the conference room.
Should you have any questions, contact Karan Fisher or use the email, tqg.quiltshow@gmail.com.
