Hello again, I cannot believe that as I sit here writing this we are only 1 week away from September - where did the summer go? But, the summer did include an amazing Quilt Show. Karan Fisher and her committee did a fantastic job of putting on a show full of beautiful quilts, an irresistible selection of silent auction baskets, plus vendors and workshops. As a member of the Committee I know how hard each and every member of the Committee plus all the helpers (and husbands) who came along to help set up and break down worked. So, congratulations to Karan and team for another fabulous show.
As Fall approaches there are still plenty of things to look forward to, apart from lots of cooler days hiding away with our sewing machines!! Jackie O’Brien will be returning to teach her Shaded Nine Patch workshop on September 29 and the following week is the inaugural AQS Virginia Beach Quilt Show. Volunteers will be needed to help with a variety of jobs at the show so please contact Betts Werbiskis or Ann Walls if you can spare a couple of hours.
If you want information about any of our upcoming events, or news of what is going on with the Guild generally try checking out the blog page on our website. http://www.tqgva.org/blog Our web mistress, Diana Behling, posts regularly with news and events.
Enjoy the rest of the summer.
