4 New and Exciting Exhibits October 13 – December 19, 2015
Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry – “30 Quilts for 30 Years”
According to the Bryerpatch website.... "This exhibit celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of making my first art quilt in 1983. The thirty quilts, all of which are new, revisit many of the themes of my past, award-winning work, and also introduce some new themes. Although there is diversity in style, the uniform size of the quilts (30" x 30") pulls the exhibit together visually. All of these quilts are made with my one-of-a-kind hand painted fabric, or fabric from the various collections I have designed for Benartex, which are based on my original hand-dyed and painted fabrics. Below are the quilts that have already been completed.
The exhibit premiered in the fall of 2013 at the International Quilt Festival in Houston. Subsequently it will travel to other museums, galleries, and shows. I have made more than sixty quilts for this exhibit, so different quilts may be seen at different venues."
