Hello, for those of you who don’t know me, I am the one with the accent who has been bombarding you from the front of the various chapter meetings for the last 2 years about Spring Fling or workshops.
Thank you for voting for me to be the new President of our Guild. Firstly, I want to thank Ann Walls and her board for all their hard work over the last two years. I know Ann won’t be putting her feet up as she and Betts Werbiskis will be coordinating the Guild’s involvement in the upcoming AQS show in October.
Speaking of Quilt Shows, our own TQG quilt show is fast approaching. I hope lots of you are busily completing your entries for the show, either to display or to be judged & displayed. Our last show had almost 300 entries on display and we would really like to equal, if not beat that figure for this show, so please get your registration forms to Grey Castro and her registration team by July 20.
Finally, I also want to thank all those who stepped forward to take on positions within the Guild during this last election cycle, be it on the Executive Board or on any of the Chapter Boards. All of those jobs are equally important and it is the sum total of all those people that makes this Guild such a great one - I look forward to working with each and every one of you to continue to make this Guild so great.
