February President's Message

I don’t think I have ever spent so much time without leaving the house as I did in January.  I even took my snow pictures from the windows so I wouldn’t have to deal with the chill.   I did get some stitching done but wasn’t able to finish anything, since I tended to switch between projects but made good progress and I plan to have three quilts ready for our show this summer.

As I noted last month, the guild is looking into a very exciting, busy year.   The nomination committee is setting up to give us a slate of officers for the coming year.    Please consider taking a more active part in the guild.  The time spent is minimal but the rewards are great.   We can’t do all we do without you and the responsibilities are spread out so there isn’t any one person with the majority of “fun”.  I can honestly say that I have not regretted taking that first dip in the water.

Debbie Coleman has opened up the Penni Domikis’ class to those outside the guild, so now is the time to regis-
ter and get ready.  The class is February 10.

Pat Carney and her committee will have registration forms for Spring Fling 2018. I’m really looking forward to it.  It’s one of my favorite things every year.

Karan Fisher and her Quilt Show committee are busy getting things ready and it’s another great  thing to enjoy with the guild.

Stay Calm and Quilt On.

Ann Walls TQG President
