Hello Quilters!
The 2018 Quilt Show "Every Quilt Tells A Story" soon will be upon us and I am soooo looking forward to seeing all of our TQG members quilts being beautifully exhibited for everyone attending to "Ooooh and Ahhh" about their splendor. The deadline for registrations is July 20th, 2018, so do not hesitate to submit your registration forms with photo to Grey Castro.
Every Active TQG member can enter up to 3 quilts into the quilt show. All 3 can be in one single category or you may enter a quilt in more than one category, but it is still a maximum of 3 entries. If you enter all 3 in one category, only one of the 3 quilts entered in that category is eligible for judging if you so chose to have it judged. The categories are broken into sizes, which was done to assist in the planned layout of exhibiting the quilts and to aid in the judging process. So, if you enter your 2 or 3 quilts in a category that has been broken down into small/large or small/medium/large, it is still just one category. If you submitted 2 or 3 quilts in just one category and to also be judged, please contact Grey Castro.
Thank you to everyone for supporting the 2018 Quilt Show and I surely hope everyone has taken the opportunity to enter at least one of your beautifully accomplished quilts. Every time I witness the "Show & Tell" at the end of the three Chapter meetings, I come away feeling motivated, challenged and inspired from all of you! ☺
Please share your wonderful quilts with everyone and register your quilt to be exhibited. Your Quilt Show Committee would love, love, love to fill the Cape Henry Collegiate Alfred T. Taylor Fieldhouse with your quilts!

Appraisals:
We are delighted to have Lynne Wilder at the show to do appraisals. Each appointment is 30 minutes long. Consider having any of your quilts appraised, be it antique, vintage, newly made or an art quilt. Appraising your quilts establishes a replacement value for insurance purposes before a loss (stolen, lost, destroyed or damaged):
Quilts hanging in the show also can be appraised. We just need to know in advance so time is allotted in the schedule.
Written appraisals - $65 each - any quilt
Oral appraisals - $30 each - antique and vintage quilts only
Please call or email Jane Ann Snyder to schedule an appointment for Friday or Saturday (August 17th and 18th).
